Oct 2, 2014: Seeking Genuine Tolerance

Sometimes there is a fine line between practicing your beliefs in your own daily life - which entails interaction with others - and imposing your beliefs in the lives of others. Those who genuinely embrace diversity and practice inclusion and tolerance, understand and respect what religious liberty demands.

Sep 1, 2014: Where Are the Voices? Solidarity with Persecuted Iraqis

Below is a video from the Catholic TV Network. As the new school year begins, let's offer thanks for all the opportunities we have received. And as Labor Day (in the US) ends, let's offer thanks for the work we have and offer petitions to those who don't. In a special way, let's offer a prayer (found below the video) in solidarity for those who need, more than just work, but to survive an unjust persecution in their own land...

Let us continue to pray for peace using Patriarch Sakos (Chaldean Catholic Church of Iraq) prayer:

The plight of our country
is deep and the suffering of Christiansis severe and frightening.

Therefore, we ask you Lord
to spare our lives, and to grant us patience,
and courage to continue our witness of Christian values
with trust and hope.

Lord, peace is the foundation of life;
Grant us the peace and stability that will enable us
to live with each other without fear and anxiety,
and with dignity and joy.

Glory be to you forever.
